Privacy Policy
The 4th Stripe — aviation flashcard study app (web and iOS). Effective 21 July 2026.
What we collect
- Account information. When you create an account we store your email
address, an optional display name, and the authentication identifiers provided by the
sign-in method you choose (email & password, Google, or Sign in with Apple). Sign-in is
handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
- Your study content. The decks, flashcards, folders, bookmarks, tags,
study sessions, test history, search history, and daily goals you create are stored in Google Cloud
Firestore so they can sync between your devices. This content belongs to you.
What we don't collect
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no sale or sharing of your data with
third parties. The app contains no ad networks and no analytics SDKs.
- PDF manuals you import are stored only on the device you imported them on — they are
never uploaded.
- If you configure the optional AI features, your chosen provider, model, and API key
are stored in your private account data so they can sync to your other signed-in
devices. AI requests go directly from your device to the provider you chose; we never
proxy or log those requests. The key is not included in backups or exported files.
Where your data lives
Account data and study content are stored on Google Firebase infrastructure
(Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), protected by security rules that restrict
every record to the signed-in owner. A copy of your study content is also cached locally
on each device so the app works offline.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all cloud data at any time from inside the app:
open Study Center, tap Account, then choose Delete account.
Deletion removes your authentication record, profile, synced decks, progress, tests,
goals, search history, and cloud backups. PDF manuals remain device-only and are never uploaded.
